The need.
Common European Data Spaces are sector initiatives stewarded by the European Commission. Open, secure and respectful of sovereignty, they share infrastructure and governance rules defined at EU level. The Commission lists 75 of them.
Many initiatives are not on that list, when they are launched by companies, cities or Member States, such as EONA-X. They often connect to it: EONA-X and the German Mobility Data Space are among the key players of the European Mobility Data Space.
Onecub’s role.
- Preliminary and feasibility studies: coordination and participation.
- Communities of practice: running and engaging them.
- Expertise in data space standards: governance and technical infrastructure.
The European projects Onecub contributes to.
- DeployEMDS: deploying the European Mobility Data Space.
- DeployTour: the European Tourism Data Space.
- DS4Skills: the data space for skills, for Prometheus-X.
Where is the project?
The common data spaces are being deployed sector by sector, with support from the Digital Europe and Horizon Europe programmes. The rising question: how to link them to each other, and to national initiatives.
